For the first time in Alaska, we are proud to be able to operate this internationally recognized callsign for our event.
W1AW / KL7 is the 2008 State of Alaska ARRL Ham Radio Convention “Special Event Station” and the ARRL has permitted the use of the W1AW callsign.
QSL card requests sent direct to W1AW, and please include an SASE. Special QSL card will be available for this operation.
The ARRL W1AW station is up and operating portable KL7 on Alaska's Arctic Circle on Grid Square BP56. Come join us and operate this unique once in a lifetime station.

We plan to operate all modes and all bands available including CW, RTTY, Digital, Satellite and many others. Our group of volunteers is coordinating a great special event station with lots of DX opportunities. If you would like to earn this unique QSL card, be sure to be monitoring and listening for W1AW/KL7.
